4IR Solutions CTO Joseph Dolivo will be speaking on the "SI's integrate Legacy Systems into the Future" panel at IMTS / HANNOVER MESSE USA 2022 Conference in Chicago September 14th at 12 Noon CDT.  

Panel Details:

Many projects on manufacturing plants don't get the luxury to start with a clean slate. The operating installed base needs to be part of the path into the future. This often brings challenges associated with proprietary legacy systems and older communication protocols. While these are not "plug and play" situations, industrial system integrators (SIs) regularly operate in these environments providing solutions to their clients. This panel of SIs will provide insights and share experiences working on these types of projects.    

Panel Focus Areas:    

1. The inability to "rip and replace" the installed base shouldn't prevent manufacturers from moving towards Industry 4.0.  

2. The proprietary nature of legacy systems is a challenge, but not an insurmountable one.  

3. Industrial SIs are comfortable dealing with legacy and contemporary systems and can help manufacturers and processors develop a solution that meets their needs.
